Important Instructions


INSTRUCTIONS for filling out the UG(LLB/BALLB) Online Application:- Welcome to the online application portal of NEHU. You are advised to visit the NEHU website (https://www.nehu.ac.in) and read the NEHU prospectus, the admission notices and the instructions provided on this portal very carefully before starting the application process

Please note down your user ID and password that you have used to register for applying to any particular programme.  NEHU will not be held responsible for the failure of the applicant to remember his/her user ID and password.

ALL candidates are to submit online their application forms before the last date and take a printout of the same as once the last date is over,  these will not be possible. 

Read all the instructions given on the online application form very carefully while filling up the application. 

Weightage for Educationally Backward Area applies only to permanent residents of Meghalaya, the format of the certificate to claim this weightage is given in the Prospectus (Appendix-1).

OBC Category is not applicable as per the University's admission notification into UG(LLB/BALLB) courses and hence applicants belonging to such category need to select the General/Unreserved Category.

Application Fees for UG(LLB/BALLB) courses : (a) General categories(including EWS): Rs. 800/- (b) SC and ST categories: Rs. 400/-.

Candidates are advised to check and verify that all the information entered is correct. After verifying all the information, please proceed with payment. Please be aware that once an application, or any of multiple applications, is submitted, the system will restrict any further changes to your profile section or application.

Take the printout of the application page as a copy of the same is to be brought along by shortlisted candidates with originals of all their relevant testimonials to the concerned department at the time of admission.

If there is any wrong information that has been declared by an applicant, he/she will have to forfeit his/her provisional admission, which will then stand as cancelled.
